- Note taking skills, purposes, and goals reviewed and exampled in class
- Using book text structures and organization to assist in note taking
- Knowing your learning style as part of the process
- Basic techniques of two column notes, Cornell notes, outline notes, and Q & A notes
- Assignment: Students are required to open their literature books and take careful notes over pages 286 to 303.
- Students are to keep their notes until after the open notes test on 11/2/12
- Assignment: Vocabulary test and related homework due 11/2/12
- Students were given the vocabulary words handout
- All grades for the grading period were posted and explained
- Including the detailed writing project grade
