English 4 & 4 H: 3/28 through 30/12


  1. Continue to work on PowerPoint tour project.

  2. We will complete the historical section by end of Friday.

  3. We will begin Education on Monday after Spring Break

  4. Students need to keep all documentation of their work in either their digital folder or their class folder

  5. Students need to turn in their daily travel diaries and keep them up to date

  6. Student are encouraged to add to the published list of helps at the front of the room for any problems and or solutions they've found, special websites that were helpful, and more

Drama: 3/28-30/12


  1. Students complete all Jekyll/Hyde performances for a grade.

  2. Turn in all written work related to Jekyll/Hyde, like preparation charts, etc.

  3. Students complete makeup artist and creation PowerPoint project and turn in

  4. We will begin make up and mask next week -- can work on it over the holidays.

  1. Handout "Virtual Tour of England" assignment. Go over the assignment in detail until all questions are answered.

  2. Show how to create a documentation folder on their individual server site

  3. Show resource folder on teacher files

  4. Post and show schedule of project activities. This schedule and the assignment is in the resource folder

  5. Joiner continue to sign off and record progress on "Terms" project until it is complete.

  6. Students turn in today's project diary entry

  1. Students will rehearse and perform the Jekyll and Hyde assignment for a grade.

  2. Students are warned that students who are not ready or able to present on Wednesday will get zeros, and no further opportunities will be given.

  3. The next project has been introduced but not begun.

  1. Deputies give presentation on the dangers and realities of underage drinking


  2. Students complete terms assignment


  3. Students begin to bring terms assignment for signing. This assignment should be completed and signed by end of class on Friday. Students will be allowed to continue to turn the work in after Friday, but no additional time will be given in class to work on the project after Thursday.

Drama: 3/19-22/12



  1. Students continue to work on Jekyll Hyde project


  2. Work on and complete rehearsals

  4. Remind: assigned find a special effects make up artist. Create a PowerPoint page with picture of the artist, picture of the creation, and brief bio and summary about the creation

  1. Students are to work on the word lists project with group and individual assistance as needed.

  2. Students are to complete all missing or incomplete tests.

  3. The students should expect to complete the terms project by mid week next week.

Drama: 3/14-16/12


  1. Leadership set up and lead warm ups - especially to assist in transitions

  2. Students ID the two characters they will perform and completely list/outline/describe the characteristics of each

  3. Student create the transition between characters

  4. Students work on mask/make-up and possibly costuming

  5. Students begin to work on scripting of presentation

  2. Students are to work silently on terms project, to be completed by the end of class on Friday. Students may use computers, dictionaries, and/or literature books

  3. Urgent Reminder: All tests must be made up by end of school on Thursday, the end of the grading period.

Announcement: English 4: 3/9/12

Since the internet has been down.
  1. Students who turn their work in today, 3/9/12 will get some extra credit.
  2. Students who turn in their work on Monday, 3/12/12, will get full credit.
  3. Students who turn in work on Tuesday will loose a letter grade of credit.
  4. Anything turned in after Wednesday will not be graded.
  5. No class time will be given next week for the project. Students must have completed the project before they come to class.

English 4 & 4 H: 3/2-9/12


  1. The current grades are posted on the back wall so students will know what they are missing. Make up work needs to be completed by Friday, March 9.

  2. All classes between March 2 and March 9 will be spent working on and completing the persuasive writing assignment in class and completing make up work. Students have full access to the computers and internet. I will be working as a resource to help each student as needed and providing make up work.

  3. Students have been trained regarding logic fallacies and MLA format.

  4. My expectations are a complete and thorough prewrite, including first draft, and a well edited final paper that is logically thought out.

Drama: 3/2-9/12


  1. Students are completing all 9 weeks presentations in class for the primary grade of the grading period. Without this performance, the student will receive an "F" for the grading period.

  2. We are beginning to work on a Jekyll/Hyde drama project. To begin with, all students are to bring in a printed headshot picture of their own face. This will be used to design make-up/mask for their Hyde side.

  3. Students are to begin working on their two sided character. The goal is to create two characters within the same person in an effort to push students to be distinct in showing the difference between them in their acting. The two different characters within the same body do not have to be good and evil. They can be whatever (within reason) the student selects. The goal is to challenge their acting skills.

English 4 & 4 H: 2/29 to 3/1/12


  1. Students study, prepare, and take Fallacies test. Students will be allowed to use their fallacies handout on the test.

  2. Students are given an MLA handout and three website references for information related to MLA:

  3. Students are given a review of the process of MLA and the issues of plagiarism, past and present

  4. Students are reviewed on the process of writing for their persuasive paper and given the rest of the paper to work.

  5. The final completed writing project is due by next Thursday, 3/8/12. We will spend all day, every day, between now and then working on it in class.

Drama 2/29/12


  1. We are continuing to take up costumes and all props related to our recent performance.

  2. Students are giving their class performances for a major grade.

  3. Aiming toward story telling and masks assignments.
