Activities:
- Students were given all the time they needed to make up and finish work for the grading period
- Students were given an open notes test over "Using Evidence and Logic"
- The test will be for extra credit. Any points over 60 will be considered extra credit points. Anyone making 60 or under will simply not get extra credit. The test will not count against them.

Activities:
- View the powerpoint on persuasive essays.
- A copy of how to write a persuasive essay PowerPoint is in the class agenda book.
- The persuasive essay
- We have done a brainstorm in class which students received as the first part of their essay project.
- Students will be given every day in class from now until Friday, March 14 to complete the project.
- We will be working in the library when ever the library is free and open so the students can use the computers.
- Students will receive individual assistance as needed.
- Grades
- Grades have been posted in the classroom
- Late work will be for less points, the later it is, the less points they get.

- Evaluate the radio programs based on the following

- Script for the plot development

- For radio show:
- Have classes choose one script for the entire class or one script per 5 to 8 person group.
- If do groups, each group will have foley artist(s)
- Research and identify scripts for choices
- Begin to work on breaking down script for production needs

Activities:
- All previously assigned work is now late for lost credit.
- Students still must work to turn it in before they loose more points
- Students were show pages 718 - 723 in the book, all about the persuasive essay
- This section includes the prompts, the model essay, the step by step instructions with examples.
- Students did an in class brainstorm activity to prepare for choosing a topic.
- Each attending student was given an initialed copy of this as completing the first stage of the writing process.
- Absent students will be required to do the brainstorm activity on their own.
- Students will be spending the rest of this and next week working on the essay.
- Essay with all it's parts is due next Friday
- Students were given a handout of the grade rubrics for the entire project.
- The rubric list includes all prewrite and final essay parts to be graded.

- Prepare for performance at educational showcase
- Listen to more Superman radio shows and work on the evaluation and journal
- Top three topics for the current plan
- Decide if class will do one play or a series of small group efforts

Activities:
- Students get 25 points for silently working
- Each time I have to get each or class to get quiet is a loss of 5 points
- Students must complete the following:
- Margin and end questions for "A Modest Proposal" due today, late next class
- "Declaration of Independance" mini project: late for lost points
- Must turn in outline, rough draft, and final draft
- Advertisement project: late for lost points
- Class argument assignment: late for lost points
- Any other missing assignments - late for lost points

Activities:
- Drive to get costumes returned
- Complete Foley reports and turn in
- Watch Foley videos and assign take notes and write a journal based on the changes in your awareness and understanding caused by the video
- Prepare for March 6 performance
- Get students to come to rehearsal
- Begin Old Time Radio: Evaluate the Superman series
