English 4 CP: Monday/Tuesday: 9/8,9/14

Essential question
*How do you develop and maintain a complete process for a long term project, writing and keeping track of all components of the assignment?

Agenda
1. Bell ringer
a. Everyone has been given a copy of the castle project and the rubric
b. Students may work with a partner to determine in simplest terms what is required of the assignment
2. Clarify everything related to the bell ringer
a. Make sure students truly understand the daily journal
b. Clarify all main parts of the project
-Manifest the castle
-Label and define all parts of the castle (minimum of 20 - more is better)
-Create a figurative language comparison for each castle label
-Maintain a time/diary log for all days and time work is done on the project
-Maintain an ongoing reading log which includes vocabulary and reading
  issues from reading needed to complete the project
-A final report to summarize the entire process (well edited) is required
-As researcher, look up all vocabulary and cite resources as needed.
3. Show castle slide show
4. Require students to create a timeline for success
a. Include the following dates:
9/8,9; 9/10,11; 9/12,15; 9/16,17; 9/18,19; 9/22,23; 9/24,25; Final deadline 9/26
5. Talk about outside reading assignment and check on their progress.

6. Begin working on project
