- BR: Compare life in 2011 to life in the medieval times. Push for a long list or 3 paragraphs. Students were given instruction on how to develop ideas, particularly about topics that seem uncomfortable.
- Students were reassigned grammar workbook pages 4 and 5A.
- Assigned workbook pages 10 and 11. All four workbook pages will be checked at the beginning of next class for a grade before students will be allowed to correct their work from the overhead.
- Read "Hobbit" pages 28 to 41. Create a time line or a chronological list of story events. Students were given the first 6 items and suggested items during the day's reading. This will be an ongoing assignment for the rest of the book.
- Reminders: A. Section 5 (the Hobbit assignments) will be checked. People need to make up their missing work.
- The first vocabulary test will by 9/12,13/11. Students are challenged to bring in proof of their technique and ability to study vocabulary.
- Copy notes on outlining notes.
