English 4 & 4H: 9/14,15/11

1. Read and completed The Hobbit, pages 55 to 68 and the related assignment of identifying at least 3 themes for this section of the writing


2. Students are to spend the majority of the class working on the following three items: A. Pages 7, 8, 9B of the workbook to be checked and graded at the beginning of next week. B. Work on the 1st 6 Hobbit assignments (posted in the classroom) which will be checked during the Thinkgate test next Monday and Tuesday. (This is make up and catch up work), and C. Read, study, and take notes over pages 19-35 of the literature book. The test will be at the end of next week. Students may use their notes on the test and will be required to turn their notes in after.


3. I provided individualized help throughout the work time, especially helping with grammar and examples of themes.
