- Assign level 2's and 3 a dramatic reading from the end of the "Tell Tale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe where the criminal confesses
- Discuss Poe and his work. Writing is a dramatic performance on paper.
- Each level 2 and 3 performs the reading before class
- Students involved in the A.C.T. drama productions and rehearsals came to the front of the room to explain the lessons they are learning during this event. Students not involved in the experience were assigned to take careful notes and write an essay explaining what they learned through their fellow students. The students easily spent an hour explaining what students will have confirmed through later chapters in their book. It was impressive to see how much information is being mastered through the experience.
- Students were reminded that their next chapter test will be next class. Their chapter projects will be due at that time.
- Students observed how non-verbal cues can be used to control, limit or extend, a conversation or interaction with another, in this case, a salesman. Students were impressive in what they observed during the interchange.
