1. Students had a substitute


2. Students were to read the background information about Beowulf and its related literary information out loud.


3. Student were to read as much of the story "Beowulf" as they could (pages 38-67). They are to answer all margin and end questions. The end questions are on pages 50, 57, and 67.


4. Students do not have to copy the questions, just answer them.


5. Students are to turn in what they have completed at the end of the period
