• The new grading period calendar is posted in the classroom and on the internet.
• The "Christmas Break" SNT give last class is due at the very beginning of class.
• The EOL work, pages 126-132 is due at the very beginning of class
• Students are assigned to take notes and do Your Turn 2, pages 132-134, due by the end of class
• Students were given the definitions for lesson 9 vocabulary words (test will be on 1/14, 15/09)
• Use RE (redneck elmo) to show the difference between telling (summary) statements and showing (specific detail) statements on their Christmas essay.
• Pass out laptops. Show use of Inspiration software. Assign graphic organizer as preparation for problem/solution essay. Students are to focus on creating a list of problems, identifying related factors, creating a solution(s), and researching evidence. The work needs to be saved to their folder or my student docs folder.
