1/7/09 Drama

• Pass out papers from last term.
• Give a complete summary of Merchant of Venice (MOV). Students are assigned to read and prepare to sign up for parts. The performance of the parts will be accomplished during the school Shakespeare festival and possibly before the community.
  
• Play the "Create a Voice" mp3 file that both teaches and examples how to create voices for different characters. The file will need to be repeated and completed due to volume issues.
• Level 1 students are assigned to begin Chapter 7.
• Level 2 students are assigned to begin Chapter 22. Students are encouraged to incorporate Chapter 21 project with the Chapter 22 project if possible.
• Level 3 student will be required to make weekly reports and bi-weekly presentations to the class in addition to a ending performance that must be public stage-worthy quality.
• Exploratory student is working on checking on AR titles, running the MOV sign up, and learning laptop procedures and software.
• Final discussion was to prepare class to compete/volunteer for two acting positions required for a literacy day performance. The characters will be Bella and Edward from Twilight.
