Essential Question
*How do movements show the attitude and qualities of the character?

Agenda:
1. Scripts and rehearsals
a. Identify understudies for every part
b. Begin script memorization and rehearsal
c. Beginning Wednesday, 10/8/14, we will rehearse every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after school
2. Take up Homecoming observation journals
3. Rehearse in class and after school
a. Develop characterization
b. Develop stage blocking
c. Follow through with character and stage movement
4. Work on understudies and plug any holes in the character choices
5. Master script memorization (Team work)
6. Provide "Production Notes" handout and create specialty teams for
a. Costume
b. Set
c. props
7. Work on journals (Answer essential question; responsive journals related to preparation process)
8. Watch Bogart movies as time permits.
9. With class, create a list of items which must be done by the play. In addition to above, that includes the following. Work on the different parts of the process in collaborative teams.
a. Connecting with art for art as set pieces; can use castles from English
b. Connect to radio stations and news crews
c. Make posters for around the school
d. Determine from Ms. Brit the ticket prices and set up ticket sales
e. Choose location: cafeteria or rec center
f. Use drivers for errands like radio station interviews, pick up supplies, and delivery to news organizations
g. Work on McDonalds fund raiser
10. Discuss and begin to develop ideas for Halloween stunt
a. Best suggestion is to play and set up the dinner theater by getting in costume and pretending to search for clues around campus.
b. Red bandana pass off with story line
