English 4: 10/16,19/09

1. Review parts of speech. The test will be next class. Students are advised to have their notebook with their memory list words available on test day.
2. Review/prepare: Sir Gawain and the Green Knight test is next class.
3. Students are allowed to work in pairs or small groups to complete all margin (10 items) and end (11 items) questions.
4. Students are allowed to work in pairs or small groups to work on the 4 D's of writing preparation and the first draft of the compare/contrast paper on Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and Beowulf. The 4 D's and rough draft are due on or before 10/22/09, the last day of the grading period.
5. The ISR/AR assignment is due today, tomorrow at the latest.
6. Students are given time to work with any assistance they need.
