2/11/09 Drama

  • Went over new chapter 9 in detail with many examples. Students are assigned to pick a project on page 97 and do it as an individual. Additionally, students are required to write up 3 to 5 characters based on all the information described in the chapter. It was recommended that they go to Olustee and speak with reenactors or use a video that has great special features, which explain how actors develop their charactors.
  • Went over chapter 24 in less detail. Students are assigned project 4 from page 328. Students are required to expand the project by looking for all the items listed in the book on the video and writing it up.
  • One level 2 student gave her props presentation.
  • All level 1 students were given another copy of the chapter 7 project, which is yet incomplete.
  • Two groups gave their Chapter 8 project performances, which were discussed.
  • Students turned in observation journals as required for each day we have class performances.
